Cox Smith looks to its summer program to hire most of its new attorneys. Each fall we interview on campus with six to eight law schools and attend one to two job fairs. Please visit the On Campus Recruiting page for our upcoming OCI schedule. Our focus is on quality, not quantity, and we view these visits as an important first step in what we hope will be an enduring and positive relationship. Most of our student recruiting efforts take place within the state of Texas, however, we encourage students attending schools we are not able to visit to contact us directly. Cox Smith considers a geographically diverse summer class a benefit not only to the Firm, but also to those students participating in the program. Rising 2L's interested in summer employment may apply upon receipt of their first-year grades. Application materials may be sent as early as June and as late as September. At this time, our summer program is designed for second-year law students only.
