Jon R. Ray

Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Oil, Gas, and Mineral Law, Jon Ray has experience assisting clients in all of these areas and is highly regarded by clients and colleagues for the results he achieves.  As head of the firm’s Energy and Natural Resources department, Jon leads a team of professionals who assist clients in all aspects of exploration programs, including lease acquisition, title examination, the curative process, regulatory compliance and litigation defense. Jon has experience representing operators and producers in exploration programs, sales and acquisitions, financings and hydrocarbons marketing.

In addition, he has many years of experience in negotiating and preparing exploration and participation agreements, farmins and farmouts, joint operating agreements and related trade and industry contracts, as well as loan documentation and purchase and sale transactions.
