Katherine Patton represents and advises clients in a diverse range of complex tax issues. She represents individuals, tax-exempt entities, public corporations, and closely held entities and publicly traded corporations. Katherine has an understanding of a business’ needs and operations as a result of her finance industry experience prior to law school, including working for several years at a commercial lending institution. She frequently helps clients with tax planning and compliance; she advises them on issues involving business transactions, employee benefits and executive compensation. She also assists clients in developing strategies for solving disputes and controversies with the Internal Revenue Service as well as state and local taxing authorities. |
