Kristin Limehouse Koch assists clients with a broad range of matters related to banking and financial services, with a special focus on regulatory and compliance issues and issues related to the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Kristin regularly counsels clients on a number of Federal Reserve Board, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (CFPB) regulations, including those governing electronic fund transfers, credit transactions, account disclosures, credit reporting, and debt collection, as well as rules related to payments systems such as the National Automated Clearing House Association Rules and various credit card system rules. Kristin has also assisted non-bank entities with state lending license and registration requirements, interest and usury limits, unfair and deceptive trade practices, and state escheat laws. As a member of Cox Smith’s Privacy/Data Security group, Kristin also assists financial institutions with privacy related regulations.
Prior to joining Cox Smith, Kristin went through a year-long treasury management training program at a large, multi-national financial institution, as well as sold treasury management products and services to Fortune 500 companies.
