Mary Dietz focuses her practice on commercial litigation matters. Mrs. Dietz has handled high profile cases and is well-versed in a multitude of emphases involving commercial and business litigation, such as the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, construction law, contract law, open records act, administrative law and mediation. Recently, she has been involved in multi-million dollar class action suits, e-discovery and e-production issues, Stark, Anti-Kick Back and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act internal client investigations, and federal grand jury document subpoena matters. She has extensive experience in extraordinary remedy practice, specifically in injunctions and garnishments. Mrs. Dietz has handled numerous theft of trade secret and non-competition suits, and is also a trained and recognized mediator. She has handled many regulatory matters for clients with state agencies and boards.
Professional Background Mrs. Dietz was one of the first female civil litigators in the Waco, Texas community. Mrs. Dietz tried over 22 jury cases in her first three years of practice, and her early success was only the beginning of an outstanding career as a lawyer, leader, mentor and volunteer. She has practiced for more than 29 years and has handled cases in Texas and across the United States. Before joining the firm, Mrs. Dietz was a partner in a large international law firm for more than 15 years, where she handled complex litigation cases, headed the firm's litigation section mentoring program and was co-coordinator of the work-life balance program. |
