Nineteen second-year students hailing from eleven law schools are participating in Cox Smith's 2008 Summer Associate Program. This distinguished group of students joins the Firm from an impressive list of top legal programs across the nation, including Baylor University, Boston University, Northwestern University, University of Notre Dame, Southern Methodist University, St. Mary's University, Texas Tech University, University of Houston, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin and William & Mary.

In addition to the diversity of the law schools they attend, our summer associates earned undergraduate degrees of study in such divergent fields as Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, Chemistry, Chemical & Fuels Engineering, Commerce, Communication, Electrical Engineering, Food Science, Government, History, International Studies, Journalism, Philosophy, Political Science and Public Relations.

Four students currently hold Masters Degrees and one student will earn his second doctoral degree with his J.D. in 2009.
